I'm guessing that you have arrived here as you have a delightful furry friend at home! Well, I'm going to give 3 extra ways you can 'treat' your beloved pet.


If you love spoiling them with tasty treats I bet you have thrown away many boxes of food that they didn't quite approve of! I've put together 3 amazing dog treat recipes which are super easy to make and won't take up a lot of your time! All of the ingredients are dog friendly and easily available, you may already have some of them!


Why make them yourself? There are lots of benefits. You know exactly where all of the ingredients come from, it can work out cheaper than buying off the shelf, and your furry friend is going to absolutely love them!


BANANA AND PEANUT BUTTER COOKIES -

Made with just three ingredients that you may already have in your kitchen, sounds like the perfect recipe to me!


These cookies are easy to make, take around 45 minutes from start to finish and will leave your kitchen smelling divine!


INGREDIENTS

2 X CUPS OF OATS

2 X MEDIUM RIPE BANANAS

½ CUP OF NATURAL PEANUT BUTTER


METHOD

PREHEAT OVEN TO 150C

PUT THE OATS IN A BLENDER UNTIL SMOOTH

ADD THE BANANAS AND PEANUT BUTTER UNTIL A STICKY DOUGH FORMS

DUST SURFACE WITH WHOLE GRAIN FLOUR AND ROLL OUT THE DOUGH

USE COOKIE CUTTERS, A PIZZA CUTTER OR A KNIFE TO CUT OUT THE SHAPES FOR YOUR COOKIES AND LAY ON A BAKING TRAY

PUT IN THE OVEN FOR 25-30 MINUTES

REMOVE AND COOL


How simple is that! These cookies can be stored in the fridge for 2 weeks or in an air tight container for 1 week.



FROZEN APPLE DOG TREATS -

Made with just two ingredients!

I think this has to be one of the easiest recipes I've ever come across! Apple is a firm favourite for many pups, so a combination of apple and yogurt which is frozen is perfect for those warmer days. You will need an ice tray and blender for this super simple recipe, no cooking necessary!


INGREDIENTS


2 x apples

1 x cup of fat free plain Greek yogurt

water


METHOD


REMOVE THE CORE AND SEEDS OF THE APPLES AND CUT INTO PIECES

IN A BLENDER ADD THE APPLES YOGURT AND SOME WATER UNTIL YOU GET A NICE SMOOTHE CONSISTENCY

POUR THE MIXTURE INTO AN ICE CUBE TRAY

PLACE IN THE FREEZER UNTIL FROZEN


These treats can be kept in the freezer, giving you a ready made tasty treat when required!


CHEESY BONE DOG TREATS -

With only three ingredients and smells delicious!

If your dog loves a bit of cheese (I mean which dog doesn't!) then they will love these!


INGREDIENTS


4 X CUPS OF WHOLE WHEAT FLOUR

2 X CUPS OF GRATED CHEESE

2 X TBSP OF OIL

WATER


METHOD


PREHEAT OVEN TO BETWEEN 120C AND 180C

COMBINE FLOUR, CHEESE AND OIL IN A BOWL

ADD WATER UNTIL YOU HAVE A DOUGH LIKE CONSISTENCY

ROLL OUT THE DOUGH ON A FLOURED SURFACE AND CUT OUT USING COOKIE CUTTERS, PIZZA CUTTER OR KNIFE

PLACE ON A BAKING TRAY AND PUT IN THE OVEN UNTIL THOROUGHLY DRY

REMOVE AND COOL
