This gorgeous whippet certainly needs his exercise and I was up for the challenge!
We start our day with a brisk two hour walk each morning and follow it with another one hour walk in the afternoon. Today, our adventure took us across fields and to the local dog walking spot - a charming pub for a quick coffee.
The pub is a great place to rest for half an hour and it gives us both a chance to recharge. The locals are always full of useful advice and today was no exception. They recommended some footpaths for our journey back. Feeling confident, we set off again, but somehow, we got lost! Thankfully, another friendly dog walker came to our rescue and pointed us in the right direction.
Always prepared, I had my walking boots, OS map and most importantly, plenty of water for the whippet. It's essential you keep the dogs hydrated, especially on these longer walks. The whippet, with his four legs and endless energy, was ready for anything. We walked through fields and some beautiful woodlands, where he was on the look out for squirrels.
As we neared home, only one obstacle remained: the infamous cardiac hill. It's a tough climb, but with the whippets enthusiasm pushing me on, we made it to the top. Luckily, the bullocks weren't in the field today - always a relief!
